 170 New Covid-19 Cases Reported In Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar, Sep 9: Jammu & Kashmir reported 170 new novel coronavirus cases even as there was no death due to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Thursday.

23 of the fresh cases were reported from Jammu Division and 147 from Kashmir Valley, taking the overall case tally to 326480.

There was no death reported due to the pathogen during the time, they said. So far 4411—2166 in Jammu and 2245 in Kashmir have succumbed to the virus as per official data.

Providing the district-wise details, the officials said that Srinagar reported 77 cases, Baramulla 22, Budgam 20, Pulwama 4, Kupwara 6, Anantnag 3, Bandipora 8, Ganderbal 3, Kulgam 0, Shopian 1, Jammu 1, Udhampur 0, Rajouri 1, Doda 4, Kathua 0, Samba 0, Kishtwar 2, Poonch 2, Ramban 1 and Reasi 12.

A number of these cases were confirmed at CD hospital and include two males (70, 50) from Alamgiri Bazar, male (14) from Hawal, female (14) from Zoonimar, female (35) from Alamgiri Bazar, female (41) from Hawal, female (75) from Srinagar, male (5) from Sharifabad, female (9) from Tral, female (30) from Avengund Pul, female (20) from Chanapora Bellow, female (27) from Rawalpora, male (30) from Natipora, male (55) and female (45) from NA and female (7) from Nowpora.

Moreover, they said, 158 more COVID-19 patients have recovered—47 from Jammu Division and 111 from the valley. So far, 320806 people have recovered, leaving active cases at 1263— 228 in Jammu and 1263 in Kashmir.

Meanwhile, there was no fresh confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today, they said. So far 45 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials added.
