Rajouri: The Jammu and Kashmir police on Wednesday said that  they have arrested two narcotic peddlers, while foiling smuggling bid in Manjakote area on August 31, 2021.

In an official statement, Police said that a team headed by SHO Manjakote, Harmohinder Singh under the supervision of SDPO Manjakote Tanveer Jeelani was on routine frisking if vehicles at Kalali Nadyal road during which a motorcycle JK11B 7764 was signalled to stop for routine frisking but driver tried to evade the naka party, who however managed to intercept the motorcycle.

During frisking, fourteen full and one half rolls of Charas like substance with weight 365 grams were recovered from the possession of accused driver Rafaqat Khan son of Mohammad Sayed resident of Rajdhani and Mohammad Ishfaq son of Mohammad Dil Pazir resident of Galuthi.

Both the accused have been arrested and a case in FIR 130/2021 under section 8/20/29 NDPS Act has been registered in police station Manjakote. Further investigation is ongoing.
