J&K Reports 166 New Covid-19 Infections, 1 Black Fungus Case

Srinagar, August 31: Jammu & Kashmir reported 166 new coronavirus cases even as there was no death due the virus in last 24 hours, officials said on Tuesday.
18 of the new cases were reported from Jammu Division and 148 from Kashmir Valley, taking the overall case tally to 325419.
There was no death reported due to the pathogen during the time. So far 4407—2166 in Jammu and 2241 in Kashmir have succumbed as per official data.
Providing the district-wise details, they said, Srinagar reported 74 cases, Baramulla 27, Budgam 21, Pulwama 6, Kupwara 4, Anantnag 2, Bandipora 10, Ganderbal 2, Kulgam 2, Shopian 0, Jammu 4, Udhampur 0, Rajouri 2, Doda 5, Kathua 0, Samba 0, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 1, Ramban 6 and Reasi 3.
Moreover, the officials said that 99 more COVID-19 patients have recovered—36 from Jammu Division and 63 from the valley. So far, 319681 people have recovered, leaving active cases at 1264— 318 in Jammu and 1012 in Kashmir.
Meanwhile, one fresh confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) was reported today, they said. So far 45 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials added.
