JAMMU: Several Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) activists including students were detained by the Nowabad police station at Dogra Chowk keeping in view of maintaining law and order while trying to block the traffic movement.

 

The ABVP protesters including some students cross the barricade near Press Club Jammu and trying to block the traffic movement at Dogra Chowk to show their resentment against Ramban district action for bulldozing a Physics Laboratory and three washrooms in Government Higher Secondary School Ramban.

 

A heavy contingent of police headed by SP North already there swung into action and detained several ABVP activists including students who are trying to disturb the law and order situation.

ABVP activists and students are observing an indefinite protest dharna in the school premises at Ramban district where a school lab and washrooms were recently bulldozed for raising an oxygen plant.

 

Yesterday, the ABVP activists, led by Pawan Rathore were sitting on indefinite protest dharna at the site to lodge protest against bulldozing the lab and washrooms. They are demanding that the lab as well as washrooms should be reconstructed and the oxygen plan may be raised at some other place outside the school premises.
