J&K Reports 93 New Covid-19 Cases, One Death

Srinagar, Aug 23: Jammu & Kashmir reported 93 new coronavirus cases even as one person succumbed to the virus during 24 hours till 1700 hours on Monday, officials said.
43 of the cases were reported from Jammu Division and 50 from Kashmir Valley, taking the overall case tally to 324295.
They said one death was reported from Jammu due to the pathogen, taking the fatality count to 4403 people—2163 in Jammu and 2240 in Kashmir.
Providing the district-wise details, they said, Srinagar reported 12 cases, Baramulla 7, Budgam 3, Pulwama 4, Kupwara 8, Anantnag 5, Bandipora 4, Ganderbal 3, Kulgam 4, Shopian 0, Jammu 2, Udhampur 0, Rajouri 5, Doda 28, Kathua 0, Samba 1, Kishtwar 3, Poonch 2, Ramban 0 and Reasi 2.
Moreover, the officials said that 203 more COVID-19 patients have recovered—114 from Jammu Division and 89 from the valley. So far, 318838 people have recovered, leaving active cases at 1054—372 in Jammu and 682 in Kashmir.
No fresh confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) was reported today, they said. So far 43 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials added.
