Srinagar, Aug 12: Militant on Thursday attacked a BSF convoy along Jammu-Srinagar highway near Malpora Mirbazar area in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district, officials said.
While there was no casualty reported in the incident immediately, officials said that militants were trapped.
“(militants) fired upon BSF convey at NHW Kulgam. No injury reported. However, (militants) trapped. EOF on. Reinforcement reached. Senior officers of Police, CRPF & Army on the spot: IGP Kashmir,” police said in a tweet.
Sources said that militants have taken shelter inside godown of a shop. Emerging story. More details awaited.
