77 travelers among 176 fresh Covid-19 cases, 2 deaths reported in J&K

Srinagar, Aug 12: Jammu and Kashmir reported 176 fresh covid-19 cases, 77 of them travelers, even as two persons succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Thursday.
They said 96 of the cases were reported from Jammu Division and 80 from Kashmir Valley, taking the infection tally to 323061 in J&K.
Providing the district-wise details, they said, Srinagar reported 21 cases, Baramulla 7, Budgam 10, Pulwama 4, Kupwara 1, Anantnag 15, Bandipora 10, Ganderbal 10, Kulgam 2, Shopian 0, Jammu 5, Udhampur 2, Rajouri 3, Doda 5, Kathua 4, Samba 1, Kishtwar 2, Poonch 1, Ramban 0 and Reasi 73, all travelers.
two persons from Jammu division succumbed to the virus, the officials said. So far 4395 people have fallen victim to the pathogen in J&K—2156 in Jammu division and 2239 in Kashmir.
Moreover, they said, 164 more COVID-19 patients have recovered, 75 from Jammu Division and 89 from Kashmir Valley.
So far, 317359 people have recovered, leaving the number of active cases at 1307—566 in Jammu and 741 in Kashmir.
There was no confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. Thus far 38 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials added.
