Minor Injured In North Kashmir’s Kupwara District As Abandoned Hand Grenade Explode

Srinagar, Jul 15: A minor boy was wounded after an ‘abandoned grenade’ he was playing with went off in Parraypora Kalaroos area in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Thursday afternoon, official sources said.
They said that the boy namely Zubair Ahmad son of Ghulam Mohammed Khan was fiddling with the abandoned grenade he had found somewhere in the vicinity of his residence. The device exploded, resulting in injuries to the boy who was immediately removed to a local health facility and.
A police team reached the spot and found another unexploded grenade there, the sources said. Police could not be immediately contacted for the comment.
