Srinagar: Vehicular movement has been halted on Srinagar-Jammu highway following massive landslide that covered the road on Friday morning.

Officials said that a massive landslide covered the stretch at Seeri area of Ramban blocking the road completely.

“It will take four to five hours to clear it,” DSP traffic Highway Ramban Mr Parul Bardwach told INS.

Bardwach said that the landslide occured at around 8:30 am and since men and machinery are on work to clear the road.

Vehicles are stuck on the road.

“Clearance work is going on. In the meantime, vehicluar movement has been halted due to shooting stone incidents as well,” he said.
