Traffic from Jammu to Srinagar on Sunday

Srinagar: In view of the annual Darbar Move, one way traffic will be allowed to ply on Srinagar-Jammu highway on Sunday. Vehicles coming from Jammu towards Srinagar will ply tomorrow.

“In view of movement of Darbar Move employees from Jammu towards Srinagar, tomorrow , subject to fair weather and better road condition, LMVs (Passenger) shall be allowed from Jammu towards Srinagar on Jammu-Srinagar NHW. TCU Jammu shall liaise with TCU Ramban before releasing the traffic,” officials said.

Officials issued a cut off timing for vehicluar movement stating that LMVs from Nagrota (Jammu) 0500 hrs to 1200 hrs and  from Jakheni (Udhampur) 0600 hrs to 1300 hrs.

No Vehicle shall be allowed before and after cut off timing, they said .

For heavy motor vehicles and load carriers, traffic police said, they shall be allowed from Jakheni Udhampur towards Srinagar after the tail of Darbar Move convoy.

“Security Forces arerequested not to ply against advisory, traffic plan in view of traffic congestion on Jammu-Srinagar NHW,” officials said adding that they may ply from Jammu towards Srinagar after confirming the status of highway.

“Mughal road is blocked due to snow accumulation,” they said .

On Srinagar-Kargil road officials said that subjectto fair weather and good road condition, only one way traffic from Srinagar towards Kargil shall be allowed on Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumari road from Sonamarg at 0700 hrs upto 1400 hrs. No Vehicle shall be allowed before & after cut off timing.
