New Delhi: India on Friday crossed a grim record of recording over 4 lakh fresh Covid-19 positive cases and a death tally of 3915, in a day. The country has crossed its own one day surge tally in world.

In 24 hrs a total of 4,14,188 infections were recorded that took the active caseload to 36,45,164 while as 3,915 people died in a day.

Recording just 15,510 fresh infections on March 1, India has been reporting over 3 lakh new Covid cases every day for the last two weeks. More than 2.34 lakh people have died since the pandemic broke. Earlier this week, India’s overall cases breached the two crore-mark.
