Qazigund: A traffic constable was killed on Tuesday after being hit by a truck at Bypass Chumullah crossing Qazigund, in Anantnag district. The injuries caused resulted in his on spot death.
The deceased traffic police constable has been identified as Abdul Majeed Tantary (SGCT) son of Ali Mohammad Tantary, a resident of Baramulla.
The accident happened at around 07:00 am when the speeding truck, JK01W-2973, hit him.
Truck driver namely Mushtaq Ahmad Sofi has been arrested.
