Justice NV Ramana takes oath as 48th Chief Justice of India

New Delhi: The president of India Ram Nath Kovind on Saturday administered oath to Justice NV Ramana as the 48th Chief Justice of India. His term as CJI will be till August 26, 2022.

Justice Ramana was the Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court, before his elevation to the Supreme Court in 2014.
He is from an agricultural family and was born on August 27, 1957 in Ponnavaram Village, Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh.
