Srinagar: Police on Friday claimed to have recovered guard’s snatched rifle and the Maruti cab used by unidentified gunmen who had barged into a J&K Bank branch, in Sherabad Khore yesterday. They had decamped with cash from the bank as well.

“The abandoned vehicle was found at Wusan village in Kunzar area of Baramulla district this morning and the snatched 12-Bore rifle snatched from the bank guard was also found near the site,” report quoting official said.

Searches have been intensified in an around the area to nab the culprits.

At least three unidentified gunmen donning PPE kits, on Thursday struck into a bank and fled with cash amount of Rs 2,86,130 and a 12-Bore rifle from a guard on duty.
