Srinagar, March 22: Fourth militant was killed in a gunfight at Manihal area of South Kashmir’s Shopian, police said on Monday.

A police official said that a joint team of Police and army launched a cordon and search operation in Manihal last night amid specific information about the presence of the militants.

As the joint team of forces approached the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight, leading to the killing of four militants. The identity of the slain militants is yet to be established, they added. One soldier was also injured in the gunfight.
