Srinagar, Mar 6: Twenty-two travellers, two minors and a soldier were among 112 fresh covid-19 cases reported in Jammu and Kashmir even as an octogenarian succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Sunday.

Among the fresh cases, 19 were from Jammu Division and 93 from Kashmir Valley.

Giving district wise details, they said, Srinagar reported 35 cases, Baramulla 19, Budgam 12,

Pulwama 4, Kupwara 8, Anantnag 9, Bandipora 1, Ganderbal 1, Kulgam 1, Shopian 3, Jammu 15,  Udhampur 1, Rajouri 0, Doda 0, Kathua 0, Samba 0, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 2, Ramban 0 and Reasi 1.

The victim was an 80-year-old  man from Rawalpora.

A number of cases were confirmed at diagnostic laboratory of SKIMS Soura and CD hospital.

The CD cases include two males (68, 33) from Naseembagh, male (31) from Gamraj, female (35) from Gutroo, two males (38, 65) and three females (58, 35, 06) from Trich, female (55) from Banderpora, female (20) from Bunoora, male (32) from BB Cantt Srg, male (57) from Lal Bazar Srg, male (62) from Tral Pulwama, male (64) from Lalbazar, female (23) and male (58) from Jawahar Nagar, female (55) from Chattabal, male (65) from Wanganpora.

The SKIMS cases include female (45) from Ms Narwara, male (30) from Ms Kandoora, female (18) from Pethkoot, male (32) from Badipora Budgam, female (09) from Gutlibagh, male (35) from Duderhama Ganderbal, male (47) and female (74) from Jawahar Nagar, female (63) from Lalbazar, male (80) from Rawalpora Srinagar.

The Pulwama cases include male (25) from Tral, male (50) from Chewakala Pulwama.

Moreover, they said 101 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals—26 from Jammu Division and 75 from Kashmir Valley.
