J&K reports 79 fresh cases including 19 travellers, one covid-19 death

Srinagar, Mar 4: Nineteen travellers were among 79 fresh covid-19 cases reported in Jammu and Kashmir even as one person succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Thursday.
Among the fresh cases, they said, 14 were from Jammu and 65 from Kashmir Valley, taking the total case tally to 126772.
Giving district-wise details, the officials said that Srinagar reported 47 cases, Baramulla 6, Budgam 5, Pulwama 3,
Kupwara 0, Anantnag 1, Bandipora 0, Ganderbal 1, Kulgam 1, Shopian 1, Jammu 12, Udhampur 0,
Rajouri 0, Doda 0, Kathua 2, Samba 0, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 0, Ramban 0 and Reasi 0.
Moreover, they said, 70 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals—nine from Jammu Division and 61 from Kashmir Valley. Regarding the death, they said the victim beloged to Kashmir. So far, 123930 people have recovered—51126 in Jammu and 72804 in Kashmir. So far 1959 people have died, 725 in Jammu and 1234 in Kashmir. There are 883 active positive cases—194 in Jammu and 689 in Kashmir. (GNS)
