Sarmad reviews arrangements for tourists at Patnitop

JAMMU, FEBRUARY 19:  Secretary Culture, Tourism and Youth Services & Sports, Sarmad Hafeez today chaired a meeting to review the arrangements of facilities for tourists at Patnitop.

The meeting was attended by Director Tourism Jammu, Chief Executive Officer Patnitop Development Authority (PDA), General Manager J&K Tourism Development Corporation (JKTDC) Jammu and other concerned.

Speaking on the occasion, the Secretary directed the officers for the upgradation of street lights to make these fully functional around the tourist resort at the earliest, besides taking up proper sanitation and cleanliness of the tourist spot and adequate provision of public utilities for the tourists.

He called for the maintenance of the Patnitop tourist place and its vicinity so that tourist footfall would increase at the famed tourist spot.

He also asked the officers to jointly visit Patnitop so that all  related arrangements would be reviewed for the coming tourists’ season so that its full  potential could be tapped.

He said that in coming weeks two tourism related festivals will be organized to attract more tourists to the health resort for which all arrangements should be put in place to make these coming events a grand success.

The Secretary also stressed on the installation of sign boards, upgradation of street lights and holding of cultural events for promotion of tourism.
