In an order issued by deputy commissioner Anantnag, Anshul Garg, has also asked Principal Government Medical College and Chief Medical Officers in collaboration with District Information Officer to take appropriate measures by using social, print and electronic media to counter the spread of all kind of false information about the covid-19 vaccines. They have been asked to ensure dissemination of factual messages, besides broadcasting and telecasting messages of renowned doctors of the district.
“It has been reported that unfounded and misleading rumours are being circulated through social and other media, creating doubt about the safety and efficacy of these vaccines,” reads the order. The Government of India in collaboration with states and UTs last week launched the inoculation drive of COVID-19 vaccination. Health Care workers and Front Line Workers are being inoculated as per the priority decided by National Expert Group in Phase-I. (GNS)
