109 new covid-19 cases, no fresh deaths reported in J&K

Srinagar, Jan 20: Sixteen travelers were among 109 fresh covid-19 cases reported in Jammu and Kashmir in the last 24 hours, officials said here Tuesday evening. There were no deaths reported due to the covid-19 during the time, third such instance this month, the officials said.
Giving breakup of the cases, they said that 45 were from Jammu Division and 64 from Kashmir Valley, taking the overall tally to 123647.
Regarding the cases, Srinagar reported 36 cases, Baramulla 3, Budgam 7, Pulwama 3, Kupwara 3, Anantnag 6, Bandipora 2, Ganderbal 0, Kulgam 3, Shopian 1, Jammu 38, Udhampur 2, Rajouri 1, Doda 1, Kathua 0, Samba 1, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 1, Ramban 0 and Reasi 1.
Meanwhile, 113 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals— 56 from Jammu and 57 from Kashmir Valley. With this, the number of active positive cases has reduced to 1099— 385 in Jammu and 714 in Kashmir. With no deaths reported, the toll due to the virus remained 1923—1207 in Kashmir and 716 in Jammu division.
