Srinagar, Jan 7: Air traffic resumed after four days while the Jammu-Srinagar highway, the only surface connecting Kashmir Valley with the outside world, remained closed, officials said on Thursday.
“All facilities have been restored and flight operations has been resumed after heavy snowfall, it is the result of many agencies worked proactively amid extreme weather,” a senior officer at Srinagar airport said.
“Jammu-Srinagar highway is still blocked at Samrolli , Nashree, Cafeteria Morh, Seri, Marog and Jawahar Tunnel,” traffic police said. Thousands of vehicles, mostly carrying supplies to Kashmir, are stuck at several places along the highway.
