Govt Orders Winter Vacations From Dec 21 To Feb 28; Online Classes To Continue

Srinagar, Dec 11: The authorities on Friday ordered winter vacation in all the Government Educational Institutions including recognized Private Schools upto Higher Secondary Level functioning in the Kashmir Division and winter zone of Jammu Division from December 21 till February 28.
However, as per an order issued by B.K Singh, Administrative Secretary School education department , online classes for all classes shall be held by strictly adhering the SOPs of Covd-19 issued by the Government from time to time.
“ It is hereby ordered that all the Government Educational Institutions including recognized Private Schools upto Higher Secondary Level functioning in the Kashmir Division and winter zone of Jammu Division shall observe winter vacation w.e.f21u of December, 2020 to 28 of February, 2021,” reads the order. However, winter tutorials for class-11 to 12 and online classes for all classes shall be held by strictly adhering the SOPs of Covd-19 issued by the Government from time to time.
“Any default on part of the Head of the School(s) in observance of the calendar and SOPs of Covd-19 shall attract strict action under rules,” the order added.
