Advisor Baseer Khan hears public grievances at Jammu

JAMMU, DECEMBER 11: Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Baseer Ahmad Khan, today held a public grievances redressal camp here at Convention Centre, where he met several public delegations and individuals who apprised him of their issues and demands.
During the camp, about 100 public deputations including individuals hailing from different areas of Jammu region projected their demands and grievances before the Advisor and sought his intervention for early redress of the same.
A delegation of Tractors Union from R S Pura raised the issue of illegal mining going on in their areas and rising prices of sand and bajri and sought the intervention of the authorities in this regard.
A delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Electrical Engineering Graduates raised several demands before the Advisor and sought their redressal.
Another delegation from R S Pura said that the irrigation canal in their area is being encroached upon, besides raising the demand for solar pumps.
A delegation of Cooperative Societies raised several issues seeking an early redressal to the same for benefit of locals.
Similarly, a delegation of residents from Poonch raised various issues of public importance of their area including improving the condition of roads.
Likewise, a delegation of migrants demanded extension in the submission of SSB application forms.
Another delegation of residents from a village in Rajouri demanded upgradation of basic amenities including laying of road and removing encroachment on a government school.
A delegation of Unemployed Engineers Association also raised their issues and sought the intervention of the government in formulating a policy for the unemployed engineering graduates.
Similarly, a delegation of Shri Amritbal Pokhribal Committee, National Youth Volunteers raised several issues.
Various other individuals and delegations also called on the Advisor and raised various issues and demands related to various departments and sought their redressal.
