Srinagar: The Higher Secondary Part-II (Class 12th) Annual/Regular, 2020 Examination commenced today across the valley as well as in the Winter Zone areas of Jammu Division.
The Secretary, JKBOSE Ms. Manisha Sareen alongwith Joint Secretary, Examinations visited the various examination centres at Srinagar and its peripheries.
The examination was conducted smoothly with almost full attendance and following Covid-19 SOPs. The candidates were briefed about the concessions granted in the examination that they had to attempt only 60 marks out of 100 marks. Pertinent to mention here that this year, one supervisor for 20 students were appointed instead of 30 students, so as to follow the social distancing norm.
58514 candidates are appearing in the examination for which 626 centres have been established whereas from Winter Zone areas of Jammu division 15055 candidates are appearing in 188 centres.
The Secretary, JKBOSE during her inspection instructed the supervisory staff and school managements to facilitate the examinees in the best possible way keeping in view the pandemic and sanctity of the examination. The Heads of the Institutions were asked to ensure proper heating and lighting arrangements in the Examination halls.
