5 More Fall Victim To Covid-19, J&K Toll Crosses 1400 Mark

Srinagar, Oct 21: Two persons in their 40s were among five more deaths reported due to covid-19 in the last 24 hours in Jammu and Kashmir, taken the fatality count past 1400 mark in the J&K.
Official sources said that four among the victims belonged to Kashmir Valley and one to Jammu district.
They said that a 48-year-old woman from Sopore Baramulla died at SKIMS Soura, three days after she was admitted there.
An 85-year-old woman from Ram Bagh Srinagar died at SMHS hospital, two days after she was admitted there, they said.
A 63-year-old man from HMT Srinagar died at SKIMS. Also a 40-year-old man from Mansbal Ganderbal died at the tertiary care hospital, 15 days after he was admitted there, they said.
With these deaths, the fatality count has reached 940 in Valley and 464 in Jammu region.
Srinagar district with 337 deaths tops the list followed by Jammu (240), Baramulla (137), Budgam (90), Pulwama (79), Kupwara (71), Anantnag (71), Kulgam (46), Bandipora(42), Rajouri (45), Doda (42), Shopian (35), Ganderbal (31), Kathua (30), Udhampur (27), Samba (25), Poonch (22), Kishtwar(14), Ramban (12), and Reasi (7).
