Gunfight starts in Rambagh Srinagar

Srinagar, Oct 12: A gunfight between militants and a joint team of police and CRPF in Rambagh area of central Kashmir’s Srinagar on Monday.
Official sources said that the joint team launched a cordon and search operation amid specific information about the presence of militants in the area which is towards Barzulla-Alochibagh bund side.
They said that as the joint team approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them which was retaliated, triggering an encounter. Two to three militants are believed to be trapped in the area, they said.
