Jammu, Aug 30: A Junior Commissioned Officer of army was killed in Nowshera Sector along the Line of Control in Rajouri district on Sunday.
Official sources said that while the death of the JCO identified as naib subedar Rajvinder Singh of 1 Sikh Regiment was confirmed, the exact cause of the casualty was not known, they said. “It could be due to ceasefire violation, attack by infiltrators or other reason but the exact cause of death is not known and is being ascertained,” they said.
PRO Defence Jammu Lt Col Devinder Amanda said a confirmation is awaited.
