Srinagar, Aug 20: The Jammu-Srinagar highway, the only road connectivity of Kashmir Valley to outside world, was closed amid shooting stones and landslides at several places along the thoroughfare in Ramban district, officials said on Thursday.
Confirming the closure of the strategic highway, deputy Superintendent of Police Traffic Ajay Anand told INS that there were shooting stones and landslides at several places including Monkey Morh, Marog and Panthyal in Ramban. “Efforts are underway to clear the highway,” he added.
