Srinagar, Aug 19: Police on Wednesday arrested a man from Batote in Ramban district for posting “objectionable comments” on Facebook for allegedly hurting the religious sentiments of a particular community
The man has been identified as Mohammad Zahid son of Abdul Rashid Rather of Champa Batote.
“He has been arrested for posting objectionable comments on Facebook there by hurting the religious sentiments of a particular community,” police said in a tweet.
A case under FIR no 48/2020 U/S 295-A/153-A/IPC registered at Police Station Batote and investigation taken up, the police added.
