Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Employees Joint Action Committee on Monday demanded immediate regularization of all contractual, adhoc and daily wagers in J&K.
“We demand that all contractual, adhoc employees, daily wagers and other non permanent employees be immediately regularized. Recently in 2017 an SRO 520 was implemented but the employees are not regularized,” leaders of JKEJAC told a presser here. “We demand either SRO 520 should be revoked or necessary amendments be brought about to regularize all these employees,” they said.
There are 63000 such employees, they said. “All their pending wages should be paid as per Minimum Wages Act,” they said, adding, “All contractual, adhoc, consolidated besides vocational instructors in ITs and polytechnics be regularized.”
