Gunfight breaks out in Kulgam village

Srinagar, July 4: A gunfight between militants and a joint team of police, army and CRPF started in Arrah area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Saturday. “Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow,” police said.  Sources said that the gunfight ensued after the joint team was fired upon by militants while they were strengthened a cordon-and-search operation in the area.
