Div Com for imposing fine on Covid-19 SOP violators

SRINAGAR JUNE 30:The Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Pandurang K Pole today chaired the weekly meeting, the 3rd consecutive in June month to review, monitor and evaluate the situation evolved due to Covid-19 pandemic in Kashmir division.
The meeting discussed present status of Covid-19 cases in the valley along with recovery and mortality rate, besides measures undertaken for enhancing testing mechanism and healthcare infrastructure to fight against Covid-19.
The Div Com was appraised that healthcare and testing facilities have been ramped up and adequate arrangements are being taken to deal the situation.
The Div Com directed for achieving sampling targets in red and non red zones. He asked the concerned to ensure 100 percent Covid-19 testing of pregnant women across the valley whose EDD is in July month well in advance to avoid any mishap.
The Div Com also exborted to give focused attention on high risk population including comorbid patients. He stressed for giving thrust on IEC campaign to aware people about preventive measures to be taken in Covid-19 fighting. He further asked for conducting breathing excercise workshops at district and Divisional levels twhich can help people to improve resiperity system which is pivotal in Covid-19 fight.
While taking serious note of violating Covid-19 guidelines and SOPs, the Divisional Commissioner directed all Deputy Commissioner to dealt strictly with violators and mpose fine on them.
The Deputy Commissioner were also asked to use artificial app and ensure app based submission of Covid-19 information on weekly basis
Among others, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr Shahid Iqbal Chowdhury, VC Srinagar Development Authority, Vikas Kundal,
Director Health Services Kashmir, Dr. Sameer Matto, Joint Director Information, Kashmir, Joint Director Rural Development Department Nodal Officer, Isolation(Hospitals), Lab Coordinator J&K, Nodal Officers Covid-19 of GMC, Srinagar, SKIMS and JVC Bemina were present in meeting, While as the Deputy Commissioners of all Kashmir districts, and SSPs of Sopore, Hanwara and Baramulla participated in the meeting through video Conference.
