Srinagar: Two militants were killed in an encounter with joint team of police, army and CRPF in Hardshiva area of North Kashmir’s Sopore on Thursday.
Reports said that a joint team of Police, Army’s 22 RR and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search-operation in Hardshiva area. As the joint team encircled the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them. The fire was retaliated by the joint team, triggering off an encounter in which two militants were killed. The identity of the slain is being ascertained, they said. Meanwhile Internet has been snapped in the area.
