Srinagar: Three militants have been killed in the ongoing gunfight at Pozwalpora area of Zadibal in Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district.
“Third militant killed. Search operation going on,” police said. Earlier two militants were killed in the gunfight.
Earlier IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar while talking to media said that the police tried to persuade militants to surrender. “In fact we brought their parents on the encounter site but they rejected the offer.”
One among the trapped militant was involved in last month attack at Pandach area of Ganderbal, in which two BSF personnel were killed, the IGP added.
Meanwhile Mobile Internet services have been suspended in Srinagar as Precaution measures.
