Ganderbal: An army vehicle on Thursday met with an accident in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, officials said.
They said the army vehicle skidded off the road and rolled few feet along the banks of the river near Hayan village of Kangan in the district. However, the vehicle did not plunge into the river.
An official said the vehicle was part of an army convoy and the accident occurred this morning, presumably after the driver lost control over the vehicle. All personnel traveling in the vehicle were rescued and are said to be stable, a police officer said.
The vehicle was on its way from Srinagar towards Sonamarg when the accident took place, the officer added.
