Anantnag: After “some” pregnant women tested positive for COVID-19, authorities in Anantnag on Saturday ordered closure of three medical facilities in the southern Kashmir district.
“During reverse contact tracing of some Covid-19 positive pregnant, ladies, it has come to fore that they have visited (3) medical establishments (which indicate) as the probable source of infection,” reads an order by the Deputy Commissioner K K Sidha.
The facilities include Bismillah Diagnostic Centre, Mattan, Al-Hayat Nursing Home, Anantnag and Gatoo Diagnostics, Bijbehara.
“Tehsildar, Block Medical Office, and SHO convene shall immediately close these medical facilities and report immediate compliances.”
The order, the deputy commissioner said, has been necessitated to rule out the suspicion and has been issued as a prophylactic measure to prevent the spread of disease. “The owners of these establishments shall, provide the particulars of all employees (medical/ non-medical/ supporting staff) to concerned Block Medical Officers, who will carry out their sampling on priority and furnish test reports for further course of action,” the order added.
