HC Judge Strength To Increase To 9 As Adv Oswal Takes Oath Today

Srinagar: The bench strength of Jammu and Kashmir high court will increase to nine against its strength of 17 as Advocate Rajnesh Oswal will be administered oath as Judge on Thursday. He will be administered oath by Chief Justice Gita Mittal at 12.30 pm in the conference hall of the Jammu Wing of the High Court.
A Gold Medalist in LLB Academics, Advocate Oswal was appointed as Judge of the high court on 29 January last.
The High Court has sanctioned strength of 17 Judges including 13 Permanent Judges and 4 Additional Judges. However, at present there are only eight Judges including Chief Justice Gita Mittal.
