Coordination Teams constituted to ensure movement of essential goods, services

Jammu: Ramping up J&K’s response in view of the emerging situation due to the outbreak of Corona Virus (COVID-19), Financial Commissioner Health and Medical Education, Atal Dulloo today chaired maiden meeting of the Coordination teams constituted by the Government, here at civil secretariat.
The Coordination teams have been constituted to ensure movement of essential goods and services, and to overcome the difficulties arising out of restrictive/ prohibitory measure.
The meeting was attended by Principal Resident Commissioner, Dheeraj Gupta, Principal Secretary, Planning, Development and Monitoring and Information Department, Rohit Kansal, Commissioner Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department, Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, Commissioner Secretary, Labour and Employment Department, Saurabh Bhagat, Commissioner Secretary, PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Department, Ajeet Kumar Sahu, Managing Director, Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited, Yasha Mudgul, Administrative Secretary to the Government , Department of Disaster Management , Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction & FCS & CA Simrandeep Singh, Managing Director NHM, Bhupinder Kumar, Director Information Department, Syed Sehrish Asgar, Director Industries and Commerce Department, Anoo Malhotra.
Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Sanjeev Verma, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Pandurang Kondbarao Pole, Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar Shahid Iqbal Choudhary attended the meeting through video conference.
During the meeting, Financial Commissioner interacted with various coordination team constituted as part of response task force and took stock of efforts undertaken/ progress made on various fronts.
Stressing on the need for unified efforts and timely interventions, Dullo directed the teams to prepare a combined comprehensive format detailing any issues/problems – to be updated daily and submitted to Арех Health Room Control so that any issues/problems can be flagged and taken up for immediate redressal. Managing Director NHM, Bhupinder Kumar who is also Incharge Арех Health Room Control will coordinate with all the departments, he added.
Elaborating on this, Dullo said that this combined report should include statistical data and figures, details of patients quarantined/under surveillance/number of beds, PPE, masks, etc available/number of recoveries among other pertinent details, permission granted/industries, manufacturing units functional among all other relevant details pertinent to each and every department as part of the task force.
Information department was asked to regularly publicize the helpline numbers on social media as well as in Print and electronic media at UT, Division, District and Local level.
Pertinent to mention that the committee is tasked with overall coordination of COVID 19 response effort in UT of J&K including Арех Health Room Control, Management of interstate borders, transit of passengers/supply management, Overall coordination of essential supplies, logistic chains, Coordination of Issues related to students, patients and other residents of J&K affected by lockdown and currently in different parts of the country, Coordination of labour issues including problems of wage-labourers of J&K currently under lockdown in other parts of the country, Overall coordination at divisional level including quarantine facilities and all other administrative arrangements, Industrial Production efforts– maintaining production supply chains and coordination efforts, besides coordination of all Media and Information efforts for the benefit of general public.
Further during the meeting Dullo was informed that the central government is sending ventilators and other medical facilities to both Jammu and Srinagar today through air cargo service. He was also informed that a number of doctors, paramedical, nurses have applied for joining in GMC- Srinagar and GMC Jammu, DHS-Jammu and DHS Srinagar. He asked the concerned to maintain proper database/details of the augmented Human Resource, besides directing for intensifying contact tracing and surveillance process, especially in red Zone areas.
