Srinagar: 36 non-government doctors and paramedics have responded in five minutes to the administration’s call for voluntary community services and amid coronavirus threat in Srinagar.
Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Shaid Iqbal Choudhary had issued an appeal to non-government doctors and paramedics who may wish to volunteer for community services along with “our outstanding doctor colleagues in primary healthcare & surveillance may join District Disaster Management Authority.”
In just five minutes after the announcement was made, as many 36 persons responded, the deputy commissioner said.
“I can’t believe this! 36 mails in 5 minutes. Confident #Kashmir against #COVID . Pl send Name, Age, Qualification, Mobile, Address, Accommodation needed(Yes/No), any special requirement. we will get in touch by evening. Love you all (sic),” the deputy commissioner tweeted.
