Take strict action against unregistered Hajj Tour operators: Div Com to DCs

SRINAGAR: Registered Hajj and Umrah tour operators today called on Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan and put forth various demands.

The delegation informed that Haj Committee of India is yet to allot Hajj quota in favour of Private Hajj Tour Operators. The complained that some vested interested and unregistered operators are cheating innocent people.

The Divisional Commissioner issued directions to all Deputy Commissioners and SSPs to take strict action against unregistered Hajj tour operators immediately under relevant section of law.

Khan also appealed all Hajj aspirants who intend to undertake Hajj Pilgrimage through Private Tour Operators not to get swayed by the advertisements of unregistered operators.

He said that the aspirants should contact concerned DC offices where list of registered Private Tour Operators of Hajj Pilgrimage is available.

The delegation also projected other demands also.

The Divisional Commissioner gave patient hearing and assured them that their demands will be fulfilled on priority.
