Dir FCS&CA reviews stock, supply position of essentials in Valley

SRINAGAR: Director Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Kashmir, Bashir Ahmad Khan, today convened a meeting to review the stock and supply position of food grans, distribution of k-oil and other essentials in the Valley.

Joint Director Administration, Deputy Director Supplies Kashmir and representatives of various oil companies attended the meeting.

The meeting was informed that presently 75276 MTs of rice and 4077 MTs of Atta are available in various FCI and departmental godowns in the Valley. It was given out that 4416 KLs of K-oil and 81659 LPG cylinders are available with various oil companies operating in the Valley.

While reviewing the stock position of K-oil, LPG and petroleum products, the Director directed the oil companies to top up the stock and depute liaison officers at Patnitop and Batot to ensure hassel free movement of trucks at National Highway.

He asked the district officers to put forth requisition of LPG and other petroleum products so that the Oil companies are directed to release the products to the retail dealers.

The Director urged the concerned to ensure availability and timely distribution of food grains to the consumers and to intensify market checking.
