Girish Chandra Murmu sworn in as 1st Lieutenant Governor of J&K

Srinagar:  Girish Chandra Murmu today took oath as the Ist Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. He was administered the Oath of Office and Secrecy by Justice Gita Mittal, Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir High Court, at a function held at the Raj Bhavan here today.

Dr. Nirmal Kumar Singh, Speaker, J&K Legislative Assembly; Sh. Vijay Kumar, Sh. K.K. Sharma, Sh. Khurshid Ganai, Sh. K. Skandan, Sh. Farooq Khan- Advisors to Governor; Sh. Jugal Kishore, Member of Parliament; Lt. Gen. KJS Dhillon, GoC 15 Corps; Judges of High Court were among the guests present at the ceremony.

Senior officials of civil administration, police, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Border Security Force (BSF), Army, family members and friends of Sh. Murmu were also present on the occasion.
