In a nocturnal car chase, police enters CUK boys hostel for searches: Were accompanied by warden say officials

Ganderbal: A video is being circulated over social networking sites of forces personnel inside Central University Kashmir boys hostel in Ganderbal. While the boys could be heard yelling at police that no University official is accompanying them for the searches inside the premises.

However Police has clarified that they had warden of the hostel accompanying them and there were no protests, rather, forces personnel were heckled during the raid.

The incident happened during the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday.

Giving details SSP Ganderbal Khalil Poswal told INS that police has laid a naka, during which one vehicle escaped from the scene and police chased the car.

“Three persons came down from the vehicle entered the premises where a hotel turned into boys hostel for CUK is situated,” Poswal said.

He added that they were accompanied by a warden of the hostel as they needed to search the premises for the three persons they were chasing.

“Some boys from south Kashmir created a scene there and heckled policemen. Police did not act against any of them,” Poswal explained.

He denied any reports of protests or any injury to any of the students in the hostel.
