Batch of 79 Hajj pilgrims leaves from Ramban

Ramban/Srinagar: A batch of 79 Hajj pilgrims hailing from different parts of Ramban district left for Srinagar from here on Sunday.
District Development Commissioner, Showkat Aijaz Bhat in presence of SSP, Anita Sharma, ADDC, Nawab Din and senior officers, flagged off the buses carrying the Hajj pilgrims.
While interacting with them, the DDC extended good wishes to the pilgrims and hoped for their comfortable journey to holy cities of Mecca and Medina. He also wished them well-being, successful Haj-e-Baitullah.
Meanwhile, a special prayer was also held in which large number of people gathered to pray for the successful completion of the Holy Hajj by the pilgrims.
After one day stay at Srinagar, the pilgrims would fly for the Jiddah on July 22.
Also the 2nd batch of 60 Hajj pilgrims of Kishtwar district left for the pilgrimage.
Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Mohammad Hanief Malik flagged off the pilgrims in presence of representatives of religious organizations, civil society members and officers of civil and police administration.
The pilgrims, including 37 males and 23 females boarded the vehicles from Islamia Faridiya Educational & Research Institute for onward journey to Hajj House Srinagar from where from they will take international flight to Saudi Arabia on July 23.
Meanwhile, another batch of Pilgrims consisting of 608 Hujaj Kiram, 330 male and 278 female today left for Saudi Arabia in four Spice Jet Flights from Srinagar International Airport.
The Hajj Pilgrims were seen off at Airport by District Administration Budgam, Hajj Committee Officers/Officials and other concerned.
