Tral: Residents of Shaldraman village in Tral sub district on Saturday have decried shortage of potable water in the area for past five days.
A delegation from the area have said “we are craving for drinking water and concerned authorities have failed to restore the water supply till the date”.
The inhabitants appealed PHE authorities to look into the matter and direct the concerned official to redress the issue.
Meanwhile, Assistant Engineer (AE), PHE, Tral, Gulzar Ahmad has said that motor was damaged in area which has resulted water scarcity in the area.
He said that mechanical wing of the department is already on job to restore the damaged motor.
“Water tanks have been pressed into the service for the people to mitigate water crisis in the village,” he said.
