BASHARAT RASHID
Tral: Fed up with the bad shape of the Panzoo-Shaldraman road in Tral, residents living along it are demanding the repairs be undertaken by the authorities without delay.
They said that many places including Lurgam, Panzoo, Monghama, Nahir, Khasipora, Shaldrman and Chatrogam are mainly dependent on the road which has developed potholes long time back and is yet to be repaired.
The road as per the locals is one of the oldest roads in Tral sub division which has witnessed no macadamization for decades.
“The potholes are quite deep. Locals and drivers while traveling on this road suffer always as the road has never been repaired,” a local Mohammad Ashraf said.
The residents demanded that the road should be repaired at the earliest to “mitigate” the problems being faced by the locals.
Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) R&B department Tral, Zahood Ahmad Masoodi, told INS that he will look into the matter.
ADC Tral, S.A. Raina, when contacted, told INS that, “one of the projects is under consideration and restoration work will be started soon”.
