3 persons die, 2 others injured due to short circuit in Tangdhar

Srinagar: Three persons died and two others were injured due a short circuit early on Wednesday in Tangdhar area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Police said it have registered a case under 304 A (Causing death by negligence) against Power Development Department and have started further investigations. Among the dead, they said, include father and son who along with those electrocuted tried to plug off electricity to their homes following the short circuit around 3:00 am at Nad village of Tanghdar.
The deceased have been identified as Abdul Qadeer Chak, his son Tabir Ahmad Chak (26) and Qari Nawaz Ali Khan (22) son of Ali Asgar Khan. The injured have been identified as Mohammad Irshad (30) son of Ali Asgar and Sakeena Begum (45) wife of Abdul Hamid Joo.
