Pulwama: Sports-persons in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district are irked over alleged callous and lackadaisical approach of authorities over ill development of sports stadium in the district.

Cricket players in the district, INS talked to said that the lone stadium is in shambles and lacks even sitting arrangements ,floodlighting and toilets.
“While all formats of the game can be be played there but but it can accommodate hundred people only,” they said.

They claimed that during games they have to change jerseys in front of public as they lack changing rooms for players.

“Stadium should have modern facilities and basic infrastructure,” they demanded.

Sports officer Noor Sahab said that: “The issue will be addressed soon.”

“We are committed to provide them good playing field at this stadium,” Sahab said.
