Kupwara: An elderly women was killed by a speedy vehicle at Herri area in frontier district Kupwara on Friday afternoon.
The accident happened on Kupwara-Tangdhar road at Herri. She was evacuated to medical facility where doctors declared her brought dead.
An official identified the deceased as, Taja Begum, 67, Wife of Mohammad Munawar Lone, a resident of Herri Bala area of the district.
Investigation in the case has been launched by the police.
