Anantnag: The death of a pregnant woman in wee hours of today in MCCH hospital Anantnag triggered protest inside hospital premises with family members alleging doctors’ negligence in her demise.

According to the reports, the deceased woman identified as Shubi Jan (27) resident of chee area of Anantnag was admitted in labour room on June 25.

The family alleged that they pleaded to the staff to avail a doctor for hours together, however on Wednesday she died of intense pain.

Talking to INS superintendent Mohd Yousuf Zagoo said that the matter is being investigating.

He said that Dr Akeela and Dr Masarat, (gynecologists) besides Dr Anzil (Anesthesia) will lead the team that will investigate the matter.

Meanwhile police have registered an FIR and launched investigation.
